Asking Telha¶
Everyday use
You ask Telha the way you would ask a well-briefed colleague: in plain language. There is no query syntax to learn. This page has a few habits that get you better answers.
Where you can ask¶
Open Ask Telha in the web app and type your question. Answers appear with their sources and a verified check, and you can follow up in the same thread.
Ask a good question¶
- Be specific. "What is our exposure to Meridian?" is better than "tell me about Meridian". Name the thing you care about.
- Add a time if it matters. "as of 1 May" or "since last quarter" lets Telha answer about a point in time, not just today.
- One question at a time. Ask a follow-up rather than stacking several questions into one message. Telha keeps the thread, so "and who approved it?" works.
Ask about a point in time¶
This is where Telha is different from search. Because it remembers every version of every fact, you can ask about the past as it really was:
- "Who owned this risk on 1 May?" (what was true then)
- "What did we believe about our exposure in March, before the amendment arrived?" (what we knew then)

If Telha is not sure¶
If Telha cannot find enough evidence to answer safely, it will tell you rather than guess. It may also ask you to confirm a detail it could not pin down; that is a clarification, and answering it makes the memory better for everyone.
