Who can do what

Trust & privacy

Telha adapts to your role. Everyone asks questions and gets verified answers; some people also confirm details, and a few resolve the things that cannot be settled automatically. Your role comes from your normal work groups, and it decides both what you can do and what you can see.

Roles build on each other: an analyst can do everything an everyday user can, and a steward everything an analyst can, plus the steward duties below.

Everyday user

You use Telha to get answers and stay informed, and you never need to know how it works underneath.

Analyst

You dig into detail, reconcile what changed, and need to defend a number.

  • Ask the three time questions. What is true now, what was true then, and what we knew then. That last one lets you reconstruct exactly what a past report was based on. See The three time questions.
  • Work from evidence, not vibes. Open the full trace to show the chain from a statement to its source when you present a finding.
  • See what changed. Ask what moved over a period, and get the answer with the sources that show it.

Steward

You are who Telha turns to when a fact cannot be settled automatically.

  • The review queue. When a clarification cannot reach anyone who may answer it, or answers conflict, it comes to you. The item names the document and why it was routed to you, but does not quote the source text (you may not have read access).
  • Resolving conflicts. You decide which answer is in force. You are choosing, not erasing: every answer given stays on the record, and your resolution is recorded under your verified identity, so "what did we decide, and why?" is always answerable.

Roles and what you can see

Roles come from your organisation's directory groups, and access is deny-by-default: if you are not granted something, you do not see it, and no one ever sees more in Telha than they are allowed to at the source. See What you can see.
